Dana holds a Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto & is a certified trainer (KPA-CPT) through the Karen Pryor Academy.

Their professional path has been driven by the pursuit of meaningful work that respects animals without exploitation or profit-seeking motives. This dedication guides their approach as a dog trainer, working so that every interaction with clients is guided by empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to help foster harmonious, enriching relationships with their pets.

From previously working with wildlife and studying zoology, they have a deep understanding of animal behaviour & biology, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of animal welfare.

The spark to become a positive reinforcement trainer occurred while working under a dog trainer, and seeing firsthand the difference in animals from simply not using pain or fear to incite change in behaviour. After taking a beginners course in clicker training and seeing life changing results in their own pets, they knew they needed to change their life path to share what they had learned.

Dedicated to empowering dogs (& other animals!) and their humans through the learning curve of living together, Dana uses and teaches humane, effective training methods that prioritize your pet’s wellbeing & happiness, while guiding you both to a life full of love without stress.

  • Absolutely no use of pain, fear or punishment. It’s that simple.

  • Includes the use of tools such as prong collars, choke chains, shock/static/e-collars, etc. If you are using these tools but want to stop, I can help!

  • Why don’t I use the term “force-free”? Because I am a very literal person and sometimes have to force a dog off the road.
